High purity barium sulfate
Tasteless, non-toxic. Decomposition above 1600 ℃. Soluble in hot concentrated sulfuric acid, insoluble in water, organic and inorganic acid, caustic solution, soluble in hot sulfurous acid and hot concentrated sulfuric acid. It is chemically stable and cothermally reduced to barium sulfide with carbon. It does not change color when exposed to hydrogen sulfide or toxic gases in the air. Main uses: one of the basic raw materials of the chemical industry, mainly used in the manufacture of inorganic chemical fertilizers, non-ferrous metal smelting, steel pickling, petroleum refining and petrochemical, textile printing and dyeing, national defense, pesticides, pharmaceutical tanning and coking and other industrial sectors.
